Skagway, Alaska – June 2014
As part of our 11-Day Denali Express – Northbound with Norwegian Cruise last year, we also stopped for one day in Skagway, Alaska. We signed in for a Wilderness Safari to Glacier Point, which consisted of a few hours of boat rides, a short hike and paddling on glacier water towards the Davidson glacier.
The concept was pretty nice – the employees literally live for a few months in ”the middle of nowhere” and use old school buses to transit people from the boat to the paddling spot. They had lunches prepared for us and provided the gear for our day.
This was definitely one of the highlight of our trip to Alaska!
