Glacier Bay and Hubbard Glacier, Alaska – June 2014
As part of our 11-Day Denali Express – Northbound with Norwegian Cruise last year, we had the chance to cruise in Glacier Bay and also have a look at the majestic Hubbard Glacier. For anybody with a glacier obsession (like me), this is real eye candy!
It was pretty impressive to see how much these giants have changed in the last decades and to see them moving ‘real-time’ in front of us. The portion of the glaciers in Glacier Bay that we could see from the ship is in Alaska, however glaciers have their base in Northern BC, which makes it a nice future destination for hiking and camping trips!
