Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

22km, 6-8h for the round-trip to the Elfin Lake Hut
1h45 from Vancouver
This is a sequel to a first trip to Elfin Lakes I have done in the winter. The first trip didn’t have much of a view (see here for the details on the trail!). I went back with some friends on a sunny day, with a nice blue sky. The view on Diamond Head and the Gargoyles on the left side of the trail is phenomenal. The trail is long, but not very difficult – which makes it a very nice trail to do for overnights or with visitors who are not used to hike a lot.
I’m hoping to go back during the summer for a few nights and then hike all the way up to Mamquam Lake (which makes it a very long return journey!).
Enjoy!
